Practicing yoga regularly can be a challenge with the stressful and busy routines of modern life. But by participating in a yoga and meditation retreat, you will have 2 or more classes per day, which will ensure your progress and you will see the positive effects more quickly.

1. Time for yourself: There is a big difference between going on vacation and going to a retreat. Even the word itself tells us that it's about stepping back, withdrawing from the routine and allowing yourself the luxury of spending time, just that.

Quite often, vacations can be more about doing, while a retreat is simply about being. Holidays mainly involve other people and commit to where to go and what to do, and a retreat is about listening to one's needs at all times.

Most retreats will encourage you to leave the outside world behind, turn away from all the stress and focus your attention on doing less and being more. Moving away from everyday life will leave us feeling refreshed, inspired, rested, and help us gain clarity to seek a deeper truth.

2. Deepen your practice: Perhaps you have been practicing yoga for a while, you have experienced its incredible first-hand benefits and are eager for more. Or maybe you just started or have never practiced and you love experiencing new things. Whatever your reasons or levels of yoga experience, a retreat will help you go further.

Most retreats will include yoga twice a day or more, which in itself will increase your strength, flexibility and knowledge of your own practice more than you would have ever believed. However, the main gift that a retreat offers you is that it takes you out of your comfort zone in every way. As humans, we like routine, in a retreat, you will be in a completely new, and very inspiring environment, with new people, with the main focus of your day on you and your practice.

3. You will relax and de-stress: Sometimes we have to be away from home to give ourselves permission to truly relax. Being in a retreat allows you to listen to your body, rest when you need it and free yourself from stress.
