Ms Smith claims that her bank refused to stop the payments because they were deemed as authorized. Ms Smith then requested each purchase to be reimbursed online, but Apple repeatedly refused to refund her.

When she confronted Harry, the youngster was crying and offered to pay her back by putting his money in his pocket.

Apple declined to comment, but pointed to its "Ask to Buy" feature, which sends a request to family members every time a child attempts to purchase.
