Overwolf, the guild for creators of in-game games, has released an innovative tool for mod creators to use for games like Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and more The CurseForge API. This innovative tool allows creators to distribute their mods directly to their players. It also opens up an entire new set of possibilities for gamers to share their content online.

This new system gives creators to have more control over their work, particularly when it comes to distribution through third-party companies of their creations. Authors now have the option of giving their permission to allow distribution outside of the CurseForge system, giving them to control the way their content is distributed and also to protect the monetisation of their mods via the Authors Rewards Points system.

Modders aren't the only ones who can utilize the CurseForge API. The new terms and service agreement will open up a wide range of possibilities for users who can use the system. This includes mod managers, discord bots, and other gaming community projects which will enable the system to grow and help gamers in innovative ways.

CurseForge API already approves 217 applications, including 42 bots and 25 analytics tools. There are also nine general modding tools, as well as 11 modpack creation tools. As more users get to be familiar with the software, the roster will only grow exponentially. If you'd like to apply to join the platform it is possible to do so here. Download for free

Power to the players

What does this mean for players, then? Overwolf has created a standalone version for CurseForge to meet the demands of players. The Windows standalone version is currently in alpha and is built on Electron. It allows players to download and manage mods and add-ons from one place. The standalone client currently supports World of Warcraft in its alpha version. Plans are to add support for Minecraft soon. I Love

Linux users can download an alpha version of the application for their operating system, which at present only supports World of Warcraft. This version is in its infancy stage, so expect improvements and changes to be forthcoming in the near future. Join the CurseForge Discord server to discuss your thoughts and queries.

The application has many wonderful benefits for players and creators alike. It has an attractive and simple layout that allows users to keep all your mods and add-ons in one location. Mod authors receive 70 percent of the app's revenues this makes it a great method to help creators, whether players use the free version of the app or the subscription-based ad-free option.

Modding delights

And there's never been a better time to start modding your games. There are hundreds upon hundreds of mods available on CurseForge that can be used to enhance your games, such as graphics enhancements as well as completely new gameplay concepts. RLCraft is modpack that adds an element of survival to Minecraft. It is one of the most well-known Minecraft mods that are available on CurseForge.
