Minecraft Gets Its First Live Concert

Minecraft has seen its fair many real-world crossovers, but there's nothing like this. Norway's annual The Gathering tech conference is performing live in real life as well as in Minecraft tonight at 9PM local time (4PM Eastern), with participants resembling the artists of Minecraft as they parade around the stage. This is not a modest production. AlunaGeorge Broiler, Lemaitre and Broiler are all in attendance and you can be sure of a lot of fun, regardless of whether you're watching performers or their blocky avatars.



It's not going to come close to replicating the feel of the real thing but it may provide a more intimate experience than a standard video stream. Just be minecraft that this also means that there is a limited amount of space. The organizers say there should be space for between 2,000 and 3,000 people.
