Anger at Microsoft's $2.5bn deal for Minecraft maker Mojang



Fans of the video game Minecraft have been expressing anger after creator Mojang and Microsoft agreed a $2.5bn (PS1.5bn) deal.



The title, which has sold more than 54 million copies, was criticised on social networks after its announcement.

"Microsoft is going to kill us" said AstrosMC, posting on a Minecraft forum.



Thomas Heath posted on Newsbeat's Facebook page, "Microsoft will just screw everything over." If that happens, I'm out."



Markus "Notch", Mojang's founder has previously criticised Microsoft.



However, not all reaction to the sale has been negative.



Tom Bramwell was the outgoing editorin-chief of eurogamer.net. He tweeted: "Clearly, @notch is not me, but I can relate with his comments about not wanting your whole life to be defined. Godspeed!"



Blackspawn wrote: "I think he's a great guy and I totally understand and support his decision."
