Minecraft now has a demo. Procrastinating exavators: You no longer have an excuse to skip our favorite open-world video game. Even better, it has branded cows Notch created for us. These animals have been programmed to behave as voodoo Cows. The one and only Every PC Gamer editor feels a mild thud when they punch them. Be gentle.

Minecraft is a customisable beast. First, create your own skin. If you're lazy, you can download one of our favorite custom skins to look cool while building.

Next, install some Minecraft Mods. Minecraft is already huge, but why not add airships and muskets to it? It's almost guaranteed to be fun.

The demo is generous. Each tool, mineral and item can be found. You can dig and frolic in your new world for 90 minutes, before it "locks" to make it uneditable.
