NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. נווה פריצקי The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% increase over 2019.

"It is thrilling to witness a new rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels in 2019" stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers month after month; We're thrilled to witness such a positive shift and we anticipate an increase in the coming years and months to be."



Not far behind the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourist arrivals in Israel by 7,200 tourists in the month of July 2022 and 6000 in August.

"It is thrilling to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is growing," said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are getting close to our record-setting numbers in 2019. We expect that this growth will continue as Canadians visit more countries.

In the year 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening to all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May this year, the country has already seen over 600,400 US travelers.
